Hello! Wendy Riehle (Real-E) here. I am originally from Bluffton, Indiana and currently live in Convoy, Ohio. *Disclaimer: just because I live in Ohio, does NOT make me a Buckeye. I am Hoosier through and through! I am passionate about my Midwest living and all it has to offer. From the Indianapolis 500 to the Dayton Air Show, to the shores of Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes.
So, the name MonkeyShine Portraits comes from raising two little monkeys of the mischievous kind. One boy, one girl. I love kiddos from their skinned knees to their crinkled noses.
My style focuses on capturing the story of your family right down to the family pets. My approach is laid back and fun. As in, "I am not afraid to use fart noises to make your little ones laugh." I like to document the "right now" moments as they are so soon forgotten. I create wall art of those moments so that you can cherish them for generations! In addition to newbies, children and family sessions, I also shoot seniors - of the high school nature. Not to say, I wouldn't love to meet your Nana. Don't mention that whole "shoot" thing, 'cause she probably won't come.
I am a natural light photographer with a home base in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. I love to travel. I love Netflix. I am addicted to Sweet Tarts (especially blue ones). I hoard - literally - vinyl record albums that I listen to in all their scratchy glory on my 1950's RCA. I do transport for shelter dogs and adopted one for my own. I am an eternal optimist. I mean, all you need is love, right?
